Westlands MP Tim Wanyonyi has led the NG-CDF Westlands team in issuing cheques to scholarship students and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) at Loresho Secondary School, marking the conclusion of the 2026 bursary and scholarship disbursement programme
.
The exercise saw 70 scholarship students and 200 PWD beneficiaries from across the constituency receive financial support, adding to the 7,000 bursaries already issued to secondary and tertiary students under the NG-CDF Westlands programme.
Speaking during the event, Wanyonyi emphasized the importance of education and inclusion, noting that every child deserves an opportunity to learn regardless of their background.

NG-CDF Westlands Chairlady Frida Lenayasa highlighted the special consideration given to PWD beneficiaries.
“When issuing bursaries, we prioritize PWDs and allocate them slightly more — KES 10,000 — following Hon. Tim’s directive. We are proud to serve under his leadership,” she said.
Job Kisiangani, in charge of the scholarship programme, praised the MP’s consistency in supporting students.
“We started this journey four years ago, and Hon. Tim promised to walk with these students. He has been truthful. Many would not have continued their education without this support,” he said.

Beneficiaries and parents shared emotional testimonies on the impact of the programme.
Celestine, a parent, recounted how her daughter’s education was rescued.
“My daughter scored 339 in KCPE but stayed home for six months due to lack of fees. Through this scholarship programme, she is now in Form Four. We thank God and Hon. Tim for this support.”
Students also expressed their gratitude and commitment to excel.
Stella, a Form Three student, described the scholarship as life-changing.
“This scholarship was God-sent. We have been able to study without interruption. We promise not to let you down.”
John, a Form Four student, added:
“Thank you to NG-CDF and Hon. Tim Wanyonyi for seeing me through this journey. You are our role model.”
PWD beneficiaries also praised the initiative for promoting inclusion.

Rachael Afundi (Mama Siri) said:
“Thank you to NG-CDF for standing with us. As a PWD, I look up to Hon. Tim as a role model.”
Evalyne Amunga noted:
“Thank you for holding the hand of PWDs in Westlands.”
Another beneficiary, Wekesa, commended the continued support, noting that the programme has made a real difference in their lives.

Westlands Constituency Manager Centrine praised the MP’s dedication.
“Since 2013, Hon. Tim has remained focused on serving Westlands and advocating for PWDs. His leadership has inspired many of us,” she said.
The NG-CDF Westlands programme continues to be a key pillar in supporting education, ensuring that bright, needy students and PWD beneficiaries are empowered to achieve their academic dreams.
