The decision to drink alcohol depends on the value that the person attributes to drinking alcohol. Mostly is usually to upraise negative mood, increase confidence, reduce any anxiety, or even with the mind of bringing positive moods. Other people may use it due to experience with alcohol which in most cases is a positive one. Moreover, others prefer it due to its rewarding properties as heavy drinkers are more passionate than light drinkers as they take more alcohol.

Alcohol can really bring a lot of damage to consumer’s health as it has both short-term and long terms effects. How it affects one depends on how much you drink, your health, your age, and if you are taking other drugs. Despite the long and the short effects, alcohol also causes serious healing delays hence worsening the course of treatment of some diseases. When suffering from any health condition, you should avoid alcohol.

• High blood pressure
Taking in a lot of alcohol when one is suffering can raise the blood pressure. For quick recovery, one should try so hard not to take alcohol.
Cancer
Oncologist always advocates that if you are suffering from cancer-related disease, you should not take any alcoholic content. This is because alcohol has a depressant effect. It also risks the medication interactions and also worsening of chemotherapy.

Tuberculosis
During the tuberculosis treatment process, one should not drink alcohol to avoid increasing the side effects of the drugs. It can further be harmful to the liver as the anti-TB will be stimulated by alcohol because of its toxicity to cause harm to the liver.
Gout
This is a form of arthritis caused by excess uric acid in the bloodstream. Alcohol increases the risk of developing gout because of the content in it.
Diabetes
If you love yourself, you should avoid alcohol when managing this condition. This is because alcohol leads to low blood pressure making the liver release the stored sugar. When this happens, then the blood sugar level will not be boosted as the liver will be busy metabolizing alcohol.
