Kenyans have taken to twitter to criticize Health Cs, Mutahi Kagwe after he gave a controversial opinion of effectiveness of a covid-19 vaccine. Kagwe gave his disputed opinion during an interview with the parliamentary health committee.
This is the statement that has caused the uproar.
Pfitzer said that there is a vaccine but I personally have my doubts about it. They are talking about a disease that stop people from getting the virus. I would like to know how they knew in the first place that I was going to get the virus.
Kagwe’s statement has left Kenyans wondering if he really understands how a basic vaccine works. Some took it to twitter to criticize him, some noting his ignorance in basic health matters.
I used to believe that Kalembe Ndile was the dumbest minister ever appointed. Then President Uhuru appointed CS Mutahi Kagwe and CS Magoha! Sadly, these people are in charge of trillions of our taxes.

However, a statement is circulating in showing Cs Mutahi explaining his statement and defending his name. In the statement, Kagwe says that his statement has been taken off context, stating that it was driven by top medical advisors.
In a lengthy explanation, the statement tries to explain how Kagwe’s assertions are valid and how Kenyans quickly ‘misquoted’ him.

Netizens have still shown dissatisfaction with this statement, holding the opinion that CS Kagwe’s statements remain ignorant.
