Uhuru and Raila plot to tame Ruto over 2022 campaigns

Pro-Handshake forces to roll out grassroots rallies for the release of BBI. To Uhuru amd Raila allies, DP’s frenetic campaigns are a scheme to incite Kenyans against the BBI report. Ruto toured Coast, Nyanza, Western and Kajiado as he ramps his campaigns.

Allies of President Uhuru and ODM leader Raila believe that Deputy President Ruto’s campaigns will be deflated when the BBI report is unveiled. The confidants dismissed Ruto’s rallies as a waste of time and resources. They are arguing they will be punstured by the Building Bridges Initiative.

A series of rallies are lined up across the country in the coming days to prepare the ground for the unveiling of the BBI report. Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu is a key ally of the President. He said supporters of the BBI project will deal with Ruto in days ahead. The vocal lawmaker said Kenyans will have to be told the truth about their future in the BBI by demystifying what he dismissed as propaganda perpetrated by the DP.

Ruto has heightened his presidential campaigns by visiting various regions.Also by donating light equipment to the youth and women and railing in the BBI.Ruto wants Raila and Uhuru to shelve the BBI and focus on programs that solve poverty and put food on the table.

ODM secretary of political affairs is Opiyo Wandayi. He said that no matter how frenzied Ruto makes his campaigns Kenyans will regect him.Ruto has stormed the Western region, Kisii and Coast. This are efforts to woo Raila’s support based as he plots how to succeed Uhuru.

He has also been hosting youth and women’s groups at his official Karen residence after falling-out with the President.The DP, analysts say is charting his own political path. Thus is not relying on the support of Uhuru in the 2022 polls.
