Kiharu MP has announced that he will not surrender to the police as instructed by Inspector General Henry Mutyambai. Speaking with KTN, Nyoro has continued to place the blame on senior government officials. This is after the ugly confrontation on Sunday in Murang’a county where a group of rowdy youth tried to interrupt DP Ruto’s attendance to a fundraiser.
Nyoro claims that the ugly event at Kenol, Murang’a was sponsored by Interior CS and PS Dr Matiang’i and Kibicho respectively. Addressing the press, Nyoro has asked them to forget about politics and do their jobs.
The money (to sponsor goons ) came from interior ministry through (PS) Kibicho and (CS) Matiang’i. They gave this money to Sabina Chege. They held meetings at Edgewood Hotel. Sabina gave out the money at Thika Greens.
The Mp has called out these leaders, asking them to use their own children to cause chaos, instead of using the youth. In addition, Nyoro says that they shall not surrender or accept intimidation, and shall still attend services and fundraisers.
The President has still banned social gatherings in view of the deadly Covid-19 snare. However, politicians have still been holding rallies in the name of ‘church services’ and ‘fundraisers’.
Nyoro has had bad blood with Murang’a Women’s Rep Sabina Chege. According to him, she was instrumental in organizing the whole saga which left two people dead. A few people sustained injuries and are still recuperating at different hospitals.
Tangatanga movement has attracted love and hate in equal measures. The ugly Kenol incident came a few weeks after another one in which Nyoro was denied a chance to address mourners in a burial still in Murang’a. However, in both occasions, Nyoro eventually gave a speech.
