Samwel’s Vision
A generation free from violence and violation of their rights is one thing Samwel Jane has been looking forward to seeing in our country, mostly as a young person. But that hasn’t been achieved, and it has lead to a lack of peace among us. The fact that more than 1.8 billion of the world population is young people between 10-24 years forced him to help fill the gap by standing in and talk to them as He shows them how to avoid radical groups that disrupt peace and cohesion. That has made him realize peace can be achieved through dialogue and empowering them with skills.
The organization offers them the platform to discuss peacebuilding initiatives, youth empowerment towards achieving United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, networking, response towards COVID-19, and understanding our role as Global Citizens. During the previous in summit Malaysia, he shared the progress we have made as a county towards the realization of peace, set on the four pillars: the Government’s big four agenda. Food Security, Universal Health care, Housing, and Manufacturing.
Samwel is super proud to have been selected to attend Global Peace Summit Turkey in October 2020. The theme of the summit is “Reshaping Youth Response to UNSDGs.” He expects to meet Delegates from across the world, and we believe he will share with the rest of the Kenyan Youth his experience and lobby to have such kind of a summit in Kenya.
Currently, he serves as the Global Peace Ambassador in Kenya.
