WHEN YOU WERE
It’s sunrise again
Just like yesterday
When you were here
But today you’re not
The sky is bright
And the world is gay
But my sky is dsrk
And my world wet
Am wet with tears
I shed yesterday and today
As I watched you leave
And i remember your departure
I know i was wrong
Its not where you belong
In a shred heart
And a shared world
I wish I’d known
Id lose what I love
Craving what I lust
And end up with naught
It might be too late
To say am sorry
But this broken heart
Is the price ive paid
I look to the horizon
On the road you took
And see a silhouette
And hope its you
I know am dreaming
Of your arms again
For perhaps a better man
Wiped your tears away
Its impossible to leave
The beauty and warmth
The laughter and scents
Of when you were here
Seems Ive no choice
But to lay on my bed
And dream of the times
When you were here.
