Tim Wanyonyi Champions Education: NG-CDF Bursary Applications Processed in Kangemi

Westlands NG-CDF held a bursary application exercise at Kabete National Polytechnic, processing 1,300 applications—1,000 for secondary school students and 300 for college/university students.

MP Tim Wanyonyi’s Address

MP Tim Wanyonyi thanked residents for their support during his family’s bereavement and reaffirmed his commitment to education. “We want every eligible student to receive bursary support to ease financial burdens,” he said. He also highlighted the enrollment of 50 girls at Kibondeni College for technical training with fully covered fees.

On politics, Wanyonyi confirmed his 2027 Nairobi Governor bid: “Last time, coalition agreements made me step back, but this time, I’m going all in.”

Youth & GovernanceHe urged youth to use social media responsibly and condemned alleged government abductions of outspoken individuals. “We must protect human rights,” he said, also calling out Uganda over the disappearance of opposition leader Dr. Kizza Besigye.

He clarified ODM’s opposition role: “We support government where necessary but remain in opposition to keep it in check.”

Other Leaders’ Remarks

Kangemi MCA Hamisi Maleya called for unity in politics, while NG-CDF Chairlady Frida Lenayasa highlighted ongoing development projects, including classroom construction and roadworks.

The bursary program continues to empower students in Westlands, ensuring education remains accessible to all.
