Westlands MP Hon. Tim Wanyonyi today led the NG-CDF bursary application process in Githogoro and Gachie, Karura Ward, where hundreds of parents and students turned up to seek financial aid for the 2024/2025 academic year.
Speaking at Hospital Hill High School in Gachie, Hon. Wanyonyi expressed gratitude for the community’s support during his mother’s passing and reaffirmed his dedication to education. “Education is the best inheritance. We will continue funding top-performing students and supporting as many learners as possible,” he said.
A total of 1,300 bursary forms were issued—1,000 for secondary schools and 300 for colleges, distributed equally between Gachie and Githogoro. The MP also called on the government to create more job opportunities locally and regulate labor export agencies to protect Kenyan workers.
In Githogoro, he highlighted ongoing projects, including the construction of four new junior secondary classrooms at Cheleta Primary and plans for a biodigester to improve sanitation.
Hon. Wanyonyi reiterated his 2027 Nairobi gubernatorial bid, vowing to address the city’s challenges. “When leaders seek reelection, assess their performance. I am ready to serve,” he declared.
