Before you send your kid back to school, you might want to consider measures put in some schools to prevent spread of Covid-19. A school is on the limelight after its staff members went spraying children with an unidentified chemical using a knapsack sprayer.
Sources have identified this school as Huma Girls Secondary School, located in Kisumu. They made this mandatory for all students before admitting them back to school.
The unidentified man sprayed presumably a disinfectant to the girls all over their uniform and bodies. He did not seem to care about the health risk he was exposing these children to. The ministry of health had previously abolished knapsack spraying method as a way of preventing Covid-19.
Uninformed Teachers
Kenyans have condemned this uncouth subjecting of children in this kind of ‘sanitization’. Taking to twitter, many have expressed their dissatisfaction with this method and called for immediate change.
When we say CS Magoha has no plan of keeping our students safe, they say we don’t want students to go back to school. How is this keeping the students safe? What kind of chemical is being used? You are all gonna kill our students even before Coronavirus does~ Bravin Yuri.
Machakos Governor, Dr. Alfred Mutua has condemned this act as a dangerous and unhygienic. He has expressed his disappointment in the ignorance levels of the schools.
If this is true , then it is DESPICABLE. What type of people are we? This is not only dangerous but totally unnecessary. We should know better. I feel sorry for the school children. Where is this? Dr Alfred Mutua
This act illustrates how schools are unprepared to handle students in this reopening. There are ill-informed and may end up exposing children to more danger.
