Anti-Riot Police have been deployed at Kebirigo Primary School where DP William Ruto was to conduct a funds drive today. Nyamira County Commissioner, Amos Mariba has since cancelled Ruto’s event. This follows NSAC’s move to put stringent measures against political gatherings.
A move that is likely to increase political temperatures in the country, the area County Commissioner has dispatched scores of anti-riot police to stop any possible activity at the school. They are already in the area.
Tension is rising in the area as some youth seek to disrupt the event. Police have used teargas to disperse the crowd.
DP Ruto was to attend the event meant for ’empowering BodaBoda Sacco’, and definitely press his hustler agenda. However, he has received another blow.
Ruto’s close alley and strategist has taken to his twitter account to express his agony and disappointment with the government for crippling their move.
